3 good news stories from the world of work!

Didn't start the day off on the right foot? Between the traffic jams, and the drivers overtaking everyone else and creating even more traffic jams... But above all: the radio and its not very cheerful news about the world of work. Admittedly, it doesn't make you want to go to the office...

And yet, if we dig a little deeper, work is evolving at breakneck speed, and many great initiatives are taking place all around us. If we knew what was going on, we'd be more motivated than when we see the bad news all the time.

You've got a bet! We're giving you 3 pieces of good news we've seen recently, to help you have a good day, and who knows, maybe even a good week!

Work makes for great friendships!

We'd like to share with you a figure that put a smile on our faces: 81% of employees believe that real friendships can be made at work(Source: Ifop, 2023). That's something to take the sting out of some people's views: work is increasingly seen as a place of fulfillment!

Colleagues with whom you work on a project or share a coffee can become real friends in life. And there's no shortage of examples! We all know of famous friendships that began on film sets, for example. Speaking of coffee, Jennifer Aniston and Courtney Cox have been inseparable since the start of filming Friends. In fact, Jennifer is now the godmother of Courtney's daughter. And if that sounds too far removed from the common man: perhaps you've already heard of the "work bestie", or "work husband"? You know, the colleague you miss when he's on leave, to whom you confide all your problems and even talk to in your spare time.

Friendship between colleagues: a real lever for well-being at work, given that 69% of employees consider good relations with colleagues to be even more important than the work itself. No wonder: social relations are an integral part of a good Quality of Life and Working Conditions.

That's also why Moha organizes a weekly team meeting to take stock of everyone's mood, and get to know colleagues in a different way.

Employers are finally taking pets into consideration!

‍68%of French people consider their pet to be a fully-fledged member of their family, according to a Royal Canin study. At the same time, our pets are a bit like our children.

You've probably seen the trend to bring your dog into the office: a practice increasingly adopted by companies. At the same time, giving Pickle, the marketing manager's beagle, a pat on the back increases employee well-being x1000(we don't have the exact sources, but I promise, that's about it).

So when an employee loses his or her dog or cat, the company's support and consideration is essential. That's why Wamiz, France's leading pet website, has decided to offer a day's paid leave to any employee who has just lost his or her pet.

A humane initiative that considers its employees in their entirety, and takes their emotions into account. Because, yes, losing a pet is a painful ordeal, and the sadness felt is just as credible as the loss of a loved one.

A company that considers its employees as people first and foremost is more essential than ever.

Employment of the disabled finally in the spotlight

Every year, the European Week for the Employment of People with Disabilities (SEEPH) is organized to highlight the measures in place to facilitate the professional integration of people with disabilities.

A week that invites everyone to take action and propose ever more innovative initiatives to advance inclusion.

The 27th edition took place from November 20 to 26, 2023. And, as every year, many new projects were launched.

These include the return of the annual Duoday. A day when companies invite a disabled person to form a duo with a volunteer professional.

It's a win-win situation: for the disabled person, it's a chance to find out more about the job and find a job, and for the company, it's a chance to embracediversity and discover new talent.

This is a major step forward for people with disabilities! The employment rate of disabled people is gradually rising: from 2% in 1987 to over 3.5% today. Efforts that are still much needed, but which are increasing thanks to initiatives of this kind!

How about seeing the glass as half full?

This good news is only part of the story! Quality of Life and Working Conditions have never been so highly regarded, and people are taking action every day to help improve them.

In fact, at Moha, we provide support to all companies committed to improving their QVCT approach with their employees. This human accompaniment is essential and obvious for the well-being of employees.
