If you're ever in our offices on a Wednesday, you're likely to hear Valentin philosophize for 10 minutes about a quote, or Sébastien ask ever more perplexing questions about how you're doing.

What could be more normal? It's Week Mood day: Moha's 100% listening meeting. It's a convivial moment, but also very useful for monitoring quality of life at work!

What's more, it's ultra-simple to set up: it takes 2 minutes to prepare, and costs 0€! A derisory investment compared to what it brings us (and we say so ourselves at Moha!).

So here we go: our long-established Wednesday routine!

Everyone expresses their mood of the week, but not just any old way!

Ever wondered which movie poster would best represent your week? Jaws, Forrest Gump or Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis?

At Moha, we ask ourselves questions like this all the time. But why, you might ask?
I promise, this ritual has a real purpose!

That's what Weekmood is all about: our weekly get-together to discuss everyone's mood. It's a moment that's very important to everyone, for a whole host of good reasons, which we'll tell you about right after.

But first, what exactly is Weekmood?

On Wednesday mornings, the whole team meets (in physics or remote) and expresses its feelings about the week, its level of motivation, its current projects, or anything else it feels like telling the others about.

‍Forexample, Ophélie tells us that she's working on a huge project with her team, and that even though it motivates her a lot, she sometimes feels imposter syndrome.

We talk about work, but not just work! This allows us to see our colleagues in a different context: we learn, for example, that Lucie is working on a sewing project, or that Amanda has taken up sport again.

The original aspect: the point is guided by a question proposed by a member of the team, which changes every week. So we've already found ourselves explaining to our colleagues that we feel more like a grape or a banana, or that we identify more with a cat that sleeps than a cat that sticks its tongue out... Get the picture?

It's clearer now, isn't it?

What's in it for the company?

Keeping track of assignments and projects in progress, and the many meetings that take place, are well entrenched in the world of work. But at the office, there are also all the informal moments that make up corporate life: coffee breaks, lunch, afterworks...

In short, we have plenty of opportunities to chat with our colleagues. But not everyone benefits as much from these convivial moments: telecommuting employees, managers, more reserved people... Besides, we talk about it, and it stays there.

And yet, sometimes, what we say to each other during these informal times is quite precious: "right nowI'm feeling so much stress to finish this project", "at home I've got the work to manage, and the journey to work takes up a lot of my time"....

All this speaks volumes about employee well-being, and a number of decisions could be taken to improve it still further. At Moha, we take advantage of this time to take the temperature of the teams, adapt the work, or know when a colleague needs support, for example.

Listening is essential for a good QVCT! Because there's nothing like listening to your employees and consulting them regularly to ensure their well-being.

How can I implement the same thing in my company?

We told you: it couldn't be easier! But a few tips on how to get started are sure to help.

  • Introduce the concept to your employees and get them on board.
  • Define a Week Mood Leader each week, who will propose a theme, a format or a question to guide the exchange.
  • Organize ahalf-hour meetingevery week dedicated to the Week mood, and invite the whole team to attend (don't forget to include telecommuting employees, thanks to videoconferencing!).
  • Share a few rules: give everyone a say, don't pass judgment, only talk about personal life if you want to... You can draw up a charter with all employees to find out what they think.
